  2. According to Buddhist Monastic Rules, any boy/man or girl/woman who wants to become monk or nun must get permission from parents, otherwise he/she will not be permitted into the life of monks or nuns. If parents agree, then he/she can go on with the homeless life. If he/she renounces the worldly life by force to be a monk or nun, then his/her Dhamma practice cannot go on very well in monastic life. So think carefully before taking the action to be a nun. 3. I see..but i had ever heard that there are also people who became a monk or nun without the agreement of their parents..so why they can become a monk or nun?

  4. Those people maybe cheated their teachers saying that their parents gave permission or maybe they became monk or nun by force. Anyway what I know is the legal procedure of being a monk or nun must be in accordance with parents' permission according to the Monastic Rules.
